So Very Blessed!!

Happy Birthday Rheagan!!!!!

Man time flies!! Rheagan is now 4!! She will celebrate her birthday on Saturday with family and a couple of friends. Today was filled with her favorite things, gymnastics, mcdonald's, pizza. I know so healthy ;) In her gymnastics class I learned that another little girl is from Russia and so are her parents. I look at this as a great opportunity for Rheagan to learn about the culture. We are planning to set up playdates and such. Rheagan seems so excited. She played with her baby brother quite a bit today, it is so cute to hear them interact!

I spent a lot of the day thinking of her birthmother, and so thankful that she chose adoption over the alternatives. I keep thinking how much she loved Rheagan wanting to choose what she thought was best for her. I am forever grateful. I also know that she is thinking of Rheagan today, wondering if she is okay. I would love to be able to write her and tell her what an awesome and loving little girl she is becoming. I would tell her she likes pizza with black olives, fritos, racing, gymnastics (and she is pretty darn good at it), and tons more. I would also tell her how much I love her and always will and we are raising her the best we know how.

We looked at photos a lot today too. It is amazing to see her grow into such a little lady.

My prayer is that one day she will really get how much Matt and I love her. How much we want her to be happy, and although she did not grow inside me she is very much apart of my soul. We have been so blessed to have such an awesome opportunity to parent her. She is so much more than we could have imagined.

What an awesome God we have!!

First Day of Gymnastics!!

So Rheagan started gymnastics yesterday. She did a great job listening to her teacher. She practiced forward rolls on the high mats and balance beam. She also practiced pulling up on the bars. I love gymnastics so it is exciting to watch her. Jaxon had a HUGE blow out while watching Rheagan. It got all over my pants, so we had to leave the viewing room for a while. I missed about 10 minutes worth :(

Today she had another swim lesson. The kid is so fearful of water, but not bathtub water. I hope she gets used to it soon.

That's all for today. Here are some pictures from yesterday, ENJOY!!

Spring

Rheagan started Emler Swim School yesterday. I hope she learns to swim there, quite expensive! She had a good time. Today she goes to her first gymnastics class. If she likes it then we will sign her up for more.
Jaxon is cooing and laughing quite a bit. He is holding his head on his belly a full 90 degrees. He has been doing that for about 3 weeks now. He scoots all over the place, time to get the house baby proofed! He is still breastfeeding, not bad for a Mom with OCD ;) He will be 5 months tomorrow.
Hunter is still playful and seems to be feeling okay. Rheagan left the cabinet open yesterday. Bo and Hunter helped themselves to a full box of treats!
talk to you tomorrow

Playdate

Rheagan has a playdate with her friends Adele and George today. She is so excited. Jaxon slept most the night in his crib again. Now if we could just get Rheagan to get up during the night to potty :( She was doing really good until the baby. This child has been potty trained since 18months! SO frustrating!!

anyhoo, that's all for today

Hunter Kurio

Today we found out that our beagle Hunter has thyroid cancer. We knew he had cancer but not what kind. The prognosis is not good and unfortunately it most likely has already spread. Hunter is Matt and my first pet together and we love him dearly. Now the hard part is knowing when the right time(can't find the right words) to put him to sleep. I know he will probably tell us. Rheagan has been obsessed with death in the last couple of weeks because of the death of her classmate's grandfather. She loves Hunter and will probably not take this well. Another thing that has us worried is our other beagle Bo, she and Hunter are inseparable. I was looking at his paperwork from the vet's office it says Hunter Kurio. How will I say goodbye to such a dear and beloved old friend?

The rest of the day was pretty ordinary except that Grandma and Grandpa got to come for a visit. Rheagan showed off on her trampoline for them. We burnt the lasagna, but they did not complain ;)

Happy Gotcha Day!

Today we celebrate 3years of being Rheagan's parents. We are forever grateful for being allowed to parent her. We thank God everyday for her. It is really hard to remember life without her. Our little girl will turn 4 in one month and this has me wondering where all the time has gone. She is an amazingly smart and loving little girl. Don't get me wrong we have had many struggles along the way, these struggles make for stronger family. The little miracles before and throughout the adoption process are truly amazing. Things had to happen just right for Rheagan to be ours and they did! Thank you God!!!

Referral Picture! Look at those CHEEKS!!!

Rheagan stayed home today to help me clean up for Grandma and Grandpa. She is very excited. Yesterday she received her birthday gift early, a trampoline. She calls it her "jumpoline." The things she comes up with. Jaxon was fussy most the night and most of the morning. Wonder what is up with that??? Rheagan's "Gotcha Day" is on April 1st. We normally do something fun. She sold her Dora tricycle and helmet at the Mommy and Me sale in hopes for a new big girl bike. So Matt and I decided to get her a Princess Bike. She was thrilled! Matt says he is going to have trouble keeping up with her now. We have a bike seat for Jaxon. When he is 6months we will be able to use it. Can't wait!!
Rheagan is going to have 3 friends over for her Birthday. We will celebrate her b-day on May 3, this year. She is begging for the theme to be The Littlest Pet Shop. The thing is you can only buy the paper goods on line as they are not in stores yet :( That is how we roll!! It will be everywhere in a couple of months. booyah!
